Malmö and Copenhagen In a twist of events LM 3 is to be hosted in two cities! Malmö and Copenhagen have been chosen because they symbolise what LM 2 stood for, Bridging The Gap, and with it, Denmark will be in the contest, but someone can still take it. Whilst the theme art is being voted on, more details are being revealed, the dates of the contest are soon to be finalised, but we are told that a semifinal (if there is one) will be in Copenhagen and the final in Malmö, with the Semi at the end of September and the final at the end of October. Scandinavian production it has also been revealed that it will be a Scandinavian production, with the Swedish broadcaster soon contacting the Norwegian and Icelandic broadcasters about ideas, but we have been told that there will be two opening acts for the final, the first will be Voi Voi, sang by the artists of Melodi Grand Prix 2012, and Kom by Timoteij, the Interval act for the Semi is going to be Slow Down by Yohanna, as to symbolise that the Semi is a Danish-Icelandic Show, with the final being a Swedish-Norwegian-Finnish show, with High on Love (Norway's entrant at LM 1) and A Finnish song, yet to be decided upon. After a tense voting, Sweden has come on top of the voting, winning LM 2 by just one point! Iceland came in Second with 120 points and Germany in third with 111 points Preliminary theme art for LM 3 revealed The preliminary theme art for LM 3 has been unveiled, with the final design being chosen by the public, it will be between three designs. The information for LM 3 is being drafted up, and will soon be announced!
LM 3 is picking up pace, 11 countries, have confirmed participation, with at least 4 of those holding national selections, Sweden, Switzerland, Romania and The Netherlands. To make the voting more exciting, we will be allowing guest juries to vote alongside the participating countries, all these votes will represent half of the voting numbers, with half of the voting to be decided by public poll, the voting for the public will be done in the current Melodifestivalen method, 1160 votes will be available for the public, granted that all countries and Russia, out current Guest Jury, The public system will work that if a song gets 10% of the public vote, then it will get 10% of the points, e.g. 116 points. the lower 10 results will be automatically allocated, with the 10 highest points being allocated individually, to create suspense. New rule changes and changes to the running of LM have been revealed 1) Small Countries can now tap into the music industry of another neighbouring country, San Marino and Vatican City can now use the Italian Market, Monaco can use the French, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein can use the German Market, The Faroe Islands and Greenland can use the Danish Market, Kosovo can use the Albanian market and Andorra can use the Spanish Market. 2) There will be a public poll on who they want to win LM 2, this will account for half of the points in LM 2, it will be done like Melodifestivalen. 3) Songs which were changed for Eurovision, e.g. If Iceland changes a Icelandic song to English for Eurovision, the Icelandic version of the song can be used, but ordinary songs cannot be used twice following this form, e.g. Run, the English version of Kom, will not be allowed to compete in LM

Earlier today, the UK was disqualified from LM 2, for not sending a entry, but it has been found that any country that was confirmed as participating in LM was put on the participating list, but the UK wasn't. After contacting the Swedish broadcaster, and Swiss broadcasters, it has been confirmed that this was a mistake and the UK, were not meant to be disqualified from the competition, the country has withdrawn from LM 2, after winning the first edition.
Norway has confirmed LM 3 participation, raising the number of participants to 8.
LM organisers have decided to enter a song into the Song For Europe SFE competition, The Country is Armenia, The Song is Mi Gna, (In the Armenian selection for LM 4) by Sidni Listen Below
Song for Europe and Love of Music have joined forces, the contests are still separate, and now LM will advertise SFE, The runner of SFE, has also said he will do designs, if we want, this may help the organiser of LM 3, if they are struggling for ideas, for LM 3.
